Description:

How to Display Hidden Files in Windows 10


Environment:

Windows 10 all versions


Cause:

Some files are hidden by default and will not be displayed.


Solution:

In Windows 10 follow these steps

  1. Open the File Explorer from the taskbar at the bottom
  2. Once open, select This PC
  3. Click on View in the menu bar
  4. In the Ribbon, locate the category Show/Hide
  5. Click on Hidden Items so the box is checked.
