About:

Once you are no longer an active student at McMaster, your access to McMaster’s Microsoft 365 and Zoom accounts will be revoked.

Description:

Following the expiration, your account will be deleted from McMaster’s systems. You will receive email notifications prior to your account’s expiration. This may also affect access to external accounts, such as social media, if they are linked to your McMaster email.

Email Forwarding Service For McMaster Graduates::
Consider the free Email Forwarding Service offered by the McMaster Alumni Association to keep a McMaster-related email address. However, this won’t include access to Microsoft 365.
Learn more on Alumni Email Access Requests. Additionally, the notification will provide details on how to sign up for email forwarding through the Alumni Association. This service allows you to continue receiving emails sent to your McMaster address, ensuring you stay connected even after your student account expires.

LinkedIn Learning For McMaster Graduates::
The McMaster Alumni Association also provides access to LinkedIn Learning for graduates, separate from the one you received as a student.

Notifications of Expiration For McMaster Graduates::

Graduated students will receive a notification at their McMaster email address in the month their account is set to expire. This notification will include important information on how to manage your data before the account is deactivated.

Exporting Your Data:

The notification will guide you through the process of exporting your emails and OneDrive files. It’s crucial to complete this step to ensure you retain access to your important documents and communications.

Please note:

  • Please note that University Technology Services cannot move your data for you.
  • Med Portal accounts are not impacted.

If you have any questions or believe you have received this email in error, please open a support ticket on the UTS Website. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
