The alternative host should be McMaster employee/staff/student who have the McMaster licensed Zoom account. If they are not, they will not be able to access your Zoom meetings as an Alternative host. |
1. Assigning an Alternative Host: - The meeting organizer assigns a licensed McMaster Zoom user as the Alternative Host during the scheduling process.2. Starting the Meeting: - The Alternative Host starts the meeting using the join link provided in the email or calendar invitation sent by the original host. 3. Joining as Original Host: - If the original host joins the meeting after the Alternative Host has started it, they will be prompted with an option to: Reclaim host control of the meeting. - Allow the host controls to remain with the Alternative Host. 4. Control of the Meeting: - In case the original host reclaims the host control, the Alternative Host will be demoted to a participant role.
