As the account owner, you are able to manage this account using the role-based tool.

To reset the password, please do the following:

  1. Log into the Role-based tool https://apps.mcmaster.ca/role-based using your personal MAC ID.
  2. Click on the Actions button to the right of the account name (icon of a square with pencil in it)
  3. Click on "Request Password Change".  A new activation code will be sent to your email.
  4. In the Role-based tool, click on the Change Password button and enter the activation code.

Not account owner:

You will need to speak with the owner of the role-based account to have them reset the password through the role-based tool.

If the owner is gone/not available, a manager in the department will need to send an email to uts@mcmaster.ca indicating that:

 1. They authorize the password be reset on the account and

 2. They provide the

MacID of the new owner to be added so that they can change the password.
