How to forward spam as an attachment.

When you want to report spam or phishing emails, sending it to UTS as an attachment will allow us to view the source of the original email.

There are two ways you can send email as an attachment:

A. Through Outlook:

1. Identify the email as spam or phishing and highlight it by clicking in it once.
2. In the ribbon, click on New Email. A blank email will be presented. 
3. Address the email to is-spam@mcmaster.ca in the sent field.
4. Return to the main Outlook screen. click and hold the the spam email.
5. Drag the email into the body of the new email you have created. The email will display as an attachment.
6. Send the email.

B. Through your Web Browser:

1. log in to your email at https://mail.mcmaster.ca
2. Identify the email as spam or phishing and highlight it by clicking in it once.
3. In the ribbon, click on New Message. A blank email will be presented in the reading pane
4. Address the email to is-spam@mcmaster.ca in the sent field.
5. Drag the email into the body of the new email you have created. The email will display as an attachment.
6. Send the email.
