New Teams App 2024

An upgraded version of Microsoft Teams is introduced across campus. 

• Starting in April 2024, Microsoft made the new version of Teams the default application for users worldwide, replacing the old ‘Classic’ version which is no longer be supported. 
• This change is implemented gradually, with updates rolling out to users over time. When you opened the Teams desktop application in April, you might have received a prompt to update the application or install the new version. 

• It is recommended to switch to the new version since the Classic version is no longer be supported by Microsoft. 

The updated Teams app maintains similar functionality and appearance but offers an enhanced user experience.
