Unable to login to the outlook app on Samsung phones/devices

Description:

 Are you unable to login to the outlook app on Samsung phones/devices and receive the following error message or similar?


Solution:

Start by confirming you can sign in through the web at https://outlook.office.com/mail/ If you can successfully sign in there, please follow the step-by-step guide to resolve the 5objp error:

  1. Uninstall the outlook app 
  2. Go to settings

  3. Passwords & accounts

  4. Find your McMaster email

  5. Select and remove it

  6. Restart your phone/device
  7. Re-install outlook
  8. Attempt to sign in once more

Additional Info:

If you are still unable to login and you are receiving the same error message, please ensure that all saved accounts using your McMaster login credentials are removed under settings.
