What’s a POI account and how do I request one?

A person of interest is an individual who is not an employee of McMaster and requires access to university systems in order to carry on collaboration with the university. 

To request a POI account: 

• Login to the Service Desk Portal: https://macservicedesk.mcmaster.ca/plugins/servlet/desk/portal/742?requestGroup=1391
•  Select Accounts and Access from the Request Types  
•  Select POI Request  

• Requests must be submitted by full-time, University employees on behalf of the Person of Interest (POI).
• Both birth date and external email account are required fields.
• Failure to provide this information will delay processing the request.
