An upgraded version of Microsoft Teams will soon be is introduced across campus. 

• Starting in April 2024, Microsoft will make made the new version of Teams the default application for users worldwide, replacing the old ‘Classic’ version which will is no longer be supported. 
• This change will be is implemented gradually, with updates rolling out to users over time. When you open opened the Teams desktop application in April, you may receive might have received a prompt to update the application or install the new version. 

• You do not need to wait until April to start using the new version of Teams. You can switch to it now by toggling the ‘New Teams’ option in the top toolbar. It is recommended to switch to the new version since the Classic version will is no longer be supported by Microsoft. 

The updated Teams app maintains similar functionality and appearance but offers an enhanced user experience.
