Scheduled - Please be advised that scheduled Internet maintenance will take place on Wednesday, July 23, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. This work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain the reliability of our Internet services.

McMaster has two Internet service providers, and during this maintenance window, one of those connections will be undergoing planned work. While the second connection will remain active, users may experience brief interruptions or momentary slowdowns as traffic is rerouted.

Scheduled - McMaster is required to patch its Oracle database platforms. This work is part of Oracle's quarterly infrastructure maintenance.

During the maintenance period, all Oracle-supported Database platforms will be unavailable:
Mosaic, Jira, Jira SD, Identity Access Management (IAM), UA, Infosilem, BI, Service Bus (OSB), MDSS, ROA, and Hyperion.

Additionally, the following servers will also be inaccessible: Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure.

Scheduled - Dear McMaster Community,

Please be advised that network maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. This work is essential to support ongoing improvements to network reliability across campus. During this time, wired, wireless, and telephone services in some areas will be temporarily affected.

Key details include:

Internet Edge Firewall Update:
A software update will be applied to the Internet Edge firewall to ensure continued technical currency. No outage is expected as a result of this update.

Gilmour Hall & Chester New Hall:
From 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., both buildings will experience a network interruption affecting phones, wired, and Wi-Fi services.

Additional Work in Gilmour Hall:
Portions of the basement and first floor will undergo further maintenance from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

If you are working in the affected areas and require assistance during the outage, please contact Campus Security directly at 905-522-4135 in case of a Health or Safety emergency.
